Trade Deficit - On the way to a new record
WORKERS, MAY 2007 ISSUE
Britain's trade gap widened from £4.1 billion in January to £4.3 billion in February.
The deficit in goods grew from £6.4 billion to £6.8 billion, as exports fell to £18.4 billion and imports rose to £25.2 billion. It looks as if 2007 could beat even 2006's record deficit of £55.8 billion.
